Ayer, me reuní con Melanie y Katie. Paseamos a el Campo de San Francisco. Cuando llegamos nosotros compramos helado. Comí helado de fresas. Fue MUY delicioso! Me encanta el helado en Europa más que el helado en los Estados Unidos. Katie compró helado de chocolate que fue muy delicioso también. Me gustaron los bailarines y los músicos. Sus trajes tuvieron muchos colores y fueron muy bonitos. En el Campo compré dos vestidos para mis sobrinas, Halle y Rachel. También, compré tres pañuelos. Uno para mi mejor amiga Julia. Uno para mi madre. Y uno para mi. También, compré una bolsa que puedo llenar con mis monedas. Después fuimos de compras Katie, Mel, y yo comimos bollos preñaos. Me gustó mi bollo preñao. Fue diferente que sándwiches en los estados unidos. Vi muchos niños adorables en el parque. Me encantan niños que tienen los mismo años como mis sobrinas y sobrinos.

I am very excited to leave for Spain next week! My mom works for Continental Airlines, so I've had the opportunity to travel all around the world but I've never lived in another country. I'm nervous to meet my family because I've only had two semesters of Spanish. I'm confident that with practice and if I go without hesitations or inhibitions regarding the language, I'll learn a lot more than I anticipate. I hope that my host family has little kids. I love kids! They won't judge my poor Spanish grammar. =) I can't wait to have a routine down so I can really start to feel like I live in Spain. I don't have a lot of apprehension, because I know no matter what happens, I'll love it. Aside from strengthening my Spanish, I want to get to know myself better as I experience life abroad. I'm confident that I'm going to make a fool out of myself as I learn the language and culture, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Get ready Oviedo, because here I come!
